Create a brand identity and advertising campaign that highlights the handmade aesthetic of the festival and appeals to a young, creative, urban audience.
I created a set of characters from vintage photos that I embellished with hand drawn elements and bold colors. Using these characters I created a series of print and web ads, a promotional video, and a selection of merchandise that embody the fun, vibrant nature of the film festival.

LOGO DESIGN
To make the logo look as if it were really created by hand, I started by physically cutting the letters SAFF out of a piece of paper, and then vectorized the result. The primary logo is blue and white on black, with the option of a secondary logo in either magenta or teal. I also created several variations of the logo to allow for instances when it needs to appear on a white background, or in black and white. In addition, I created a simplified version for when the logo needs to appear at a smaller scale.
